High-Performance Flame Retardant Acoustic Foam – Sound Absorption & Noise Control Solution
Our flexible flame-retardant open-cell acoustic foam is engineered with a precisely controlled cell structure to deliver exceptional sound absorption and noise reduction. Made from impregnated polyether foam, this material is highly durable with excellent mechanical strength, making it ideal for curved surfaces, or for compressing into complex and awkward shapes during installation.
This acoustic treatment foam is compliant with UK Building Regulations BS476 Parts 6 & 7, meeting both Class 0 and Class 1 fire safety standards, making it suitable for commercial, industrial, and residential soundproofing projects.
Key Features:
- Open-cell foam for superior acoustic performance
- Flame retardant – meets BS476 Class 0 & Class 1
- Robust and flexible – fits complex architectural elements
- Effective sound absorption – reduces echo, reverberation, and airborne noise
- 15mm thicknesses
- 100cm wide
- Optional high-performance self-adhesive backing for easy installation
Ideal for:
Recording studios
Home theatres
Offices and conference rooms
Broadcast booths
Machine enclosures
Industrial facilities
Home improvement soundproofingThis acoustic foam works by increasing air resistance within its open-cell structure, reducing the amplitude of sound waves and converting sound energy into heat, thus lowering ambient noise levels and controlling sound reflections.
Installation is quick and versatile — panels can be mounted to walls, ceilings, floors, doors, or any flat or irregular surface. The foam is designed to reduce room resonance, vibration, and echo, significantly enhancing the acoustic quality of any environment.
Acoustic Enhancement for Speech and Music Clarity
Designed to improve sound clarity and reduce unwanted reflections, this soundproofing foam is widely used in acoustic treatment for studios, vocal booths, and performance rooms. For optimal performance, foam pieces are often cut into triangular or wedge shapes and placed strategically on opposing walls to break up sound waves and minimize resonance without eliminating natural room dynamics. To have a look at more info and uses for acoustic foam, have a look at our blog Sound Proofing and Enhancing With Acoustic Foam.
- Important Colour & Fabric DisclaimerPlease be aware that the colour and appearance of fabrics displayed on screen may differ from the actual product due to variations in monitor settings, screen calibration, and device displays. The true texture, shade, and quality of the fabric can vary based on multiple factors including weaving method, yarn type (coarse or fine), dyeing process, and fabric construction. These natural variations may affect how the fabric looks and feels in person compared to online images. To ensure the fabric is suitable for your project, we strongly recommend ordering a free fabric sample. Viewing and touching a sample in person lets you accurately assess the colour, texture, and overall quality before placing an order.Colour Accuracy Reminder:Please note that even within the same colour group (e.g., shades of red), subtle differences can occur.
